Killing Floor Update Released

A small mandatory update for Killing Floor (Client and server) has been released.
Here are the changes:
- Optimized game content to reduce memory usage and improve loading times.
- Fixed acheivements that weren’t working, 3 Map Achievements for KF-Bedlam, Dot of Doom, and Mr. Perky. Mr. Perky was appearing as though it had been reset (it was working behind the scenes, but the menu functionality was not working).
- Fixed an exploit related to weapon dropping/selling in the Perks system (that people used heavily with the Medic Gun). This exploit could be used to buy a weapon on a discount and give it to someone else that would sell the weapon for a huge profit.
- Fixed errors in Perk Descriptions (such as the menu saying the level five Sharpshooter get Dual Handcannons, when he actually gets the Lever Action Rifle)
- Fixed exploits in maps Wyre and Bedlam

“Level Up” Content Pack now available – free weekend of play and 25% off purchase

The new “Level Up” free content pack for Killing Floor is now available on Steam, along with the “Nightfall” DLC Character Pack. The content pack will automatically update for everyone who already owns the game. It will also be included for everyone who is trying out the game during the Free Weekend, which starts today, Thursday 22nd October and runs through Sunday 25th October. On top of that, the game will be on sale through the weekend, with 25% off the price.

Killing Floor now pre-loading for Free Weekend of play on Steam – IGN Preview

Killing Floor is now available to pre-load if you want to make the most of the upcoming Free Weekend and try out the game. The Free Weekend will run from Thursday 22nd through Sunday 25th October and will allow anyone to play the full game, including all the additional free content, all weekend. This includes the latest “Level Up” content pack and the Defence Alliance mod, both being released on Thursday. It also includes a 25% discount on buying Killing Floor over Steam for the duration of the weekend.
Tripwire have already released one free content pack for the game, plus one DLC character pack. We are releasing the latest free pack, plus another DLC character pack in time for the free weekend, so that everyone can try it all out.
